Team Overview
The Fund Operations team is made up of 19 people with monitoring roles. The team primary responsibilities are to manage all processes related to the supervision duties of the Management Company on the delegated fund administration function. They are also to measure and report on the quality of outsourced service providers and of deliverables.
Overview of role
NAV oversight
• Manage and execute daily operational oversight activities
• Provide and ensure high level operations expertise and business analysis
• Coordinate fund events and activities in relation with the oversight activities
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Investigate and resolve validation exceptions and queries
Fund expenses
• Review and approve monthly accruals and invoices provided by fund administrator against internal calculations.
• Assess impact of any over- or under-accruals and of differences
• Review and approve expenses subsidy
• Instruct and follow up payment of invoices
• Perform monthly TER and OGC calculations.
• Report, follow up any exceptions and ensure quick resolution
• Ensure fund administrator have the latest necessary documentation (fee schedule, agreements)
Cost & Charges Engine
• Ensure data completeness for daily, monthly and annual calculations
• Calculation of fund of funds indirect costs
• Review and validation of transaction cost data
• Production of Priips and Mifid II cost and charges factors
• Data Quality review
• Investigate cost variations and escalate to internal stakeholders where necessary
• Query management and data analysis
• Procedures and operating models maintenance
• Take part to projects and future enhancement of the engine.
Essential Skills
• Minimum two years documented professional experience in investment fund industry with exposure to fund accounting or fund expenses,
• Sound understanding of the UCITS and AIF operations
• Able to multitask and to work independently and be able to work to address difficult or challenging issues, escalating for support where necessary
• Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders including senior management
• Good analytical and problem solving skills, supporting the identification of issues and the suggestion of appropriate solutions
• Fluency in English, both orally and written
• Excellent command of Excel and other standard IT tools
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
