The team and you
The China based APAC Technology Infrastructure team provides end users support and operations for all infrastructure components primarily in Shanghai and cover Beijing as backup where needed. You will be working very closely with rest of APAC and UK teams in ensuring all the user problem were resolved on time and service level are maintained according to the SLA adhere to industry best practices and Group IT standard , reporting to the local EUC lead and APAC User Services lead in Singapore. You will be also working with 3rd parties, suppliers and other Schroders teams to achieve the visions laid out.

 

What you’ll do

  • To provide the full spectrum of end user support at a local level covering all IT infrastructure components in use by the end user that includes desktop, laptops, printers, faxes, telephone lines, mobile, Audio Video and applications installed on the infrastructure and end points
  • Maintain software installation procedures and manuals, and inventory of IT equipment using appropriate IT inventory management systems, ensure equipment and service agreements are kept under warranty/support and manage equipment refresh cycle
  • Provide basic server and network support with the guidance from backend team to maintain a stable sever and network infrastructure in the region and participate in BCP, DR tests
  • Participate in infrastructure and EUC related technical explorations and advisory to end users
  • Liaise with support vendors for maintenance, support or issues resolution
  • Working with other teams such including Service Desk, Platforms, Information Security and End User Services
  • Proactively own incidents, problems or issues adhering to SLA’s and OLA’s where relevant
  • Utilise, update and create and Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation, Share knowledge with the local and regional EUC operations team
  • Work using Service now to update incidents and requests
  • Weekend work and being on-call will be required

  1. Hardware experience
    1. Lenovo laptops X and T series
    2. Xerox Printer and Equitrac secure printing
    3. Plantronics headsets
    4. Logitech desktop Webcam camera
    5. Server and network hardware
  2. Software / Tools
    1. Windows 10
    2. MS Office 2016 / Office 365, Outlook & Exchange
    3. Microsoft O365 suite (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and others)
    4. Skype for business
    5. Cisco AnyConnect, Citrix
    6. Sophos, MS Defender, Appsense or other Antivirus products
    7. MobileIron, Intune or related MDM technologies
    8. Experience in Server OS will be added advantage
  3. Business applications
    1. Aladdin, Oracle, Sales Force, Nexus, Bloomberg, Factset, WIND,Haitong PB.

Having experience in any of above applications will be added advantage

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in end users support
  • Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Computer Science or related field
  • Experience of working in the financial sector
  • Experience of working within the ITIL Framework
  • Experience of ServiceNow
  • Languages - Mandarin, English both written and spoken
